The linear function f with values f2 2 and f6 3 is fx Sol

The linear function f with values f(-2) = 2 and f(6) = 3 is f(x) = ?

Solution

f(-2)=2   and f(6)=3

Here we have two points

(-2,2) and (6,3)

Slope= (3-2)/(6+2)=1/8

We have to use point slope form which is

y-y1=m(x-x1)

y- 2=(1/8)(x+2)

y= x/8 + 9/4

f(x)= x/8 + 9/4

The linear function f with values f(-2) = 2 and f(6) = 3 is f(x) = ?Solutionf(-2)=2 and f(6)=3 Here we have two points (-2,2) and (6,3) Slope= (3-2)/(6+2)=1/8 W
