Yes. I do. Because, Kaolinite is an expanding type clay mineral. And illite is non expanding type clay mineral. If 25% of the kaolinite is functioning fine, illite should be functioning fine and that too it is only 15% of the the thickness. So it can not cause any problem and I fully support my supervisior\'s decision.
