Six permanent magnets are moving toward the circular wire loops that are fixed in place. All of the wire loop are the same radius and are made of the same wire. but some of them have gaps. The magnets are all identical, but they are approaching the loops at different speeds and with different orientations.

Solution

All the coils experience repulsion due to the induced current, except loop \'B\' and loop \'E\', which have gaps since the flux is changing

because the magnet is getting closer. This repulsion is connected with Lenz’s law. The larger

current will be connected with the largest rate of change of magnetic flux which related to the

velocity of the approaching magnet.

Therefore the scheme is as under:

Greatest:1) loop \'C\' 2) loop \'A\' and loop\'F\' 3) loop\'D\' 4) loop \'B\' and loop \'E\'

The loop \'B\' and loop\'E\' will not experience any effect due to the magnet.
