here n=376         defectie =23

p hat =23/376= .06117

confidence interval = phat +- sqrt(phat(1-phat)/n)

substitute the value

                           =.06117 +- 1.96sqrt(.06112*.9389/376)

                        lower bound=.0370

                   upper bound=.0854
