Please help with this genetics problem

Before a human somatic cell has entered the S phase in the cell cycle it is and has chromosomes. A) Diploid: 23 B) Diploid: 46 C) Haploid: 23 D) Haploid: 46 At the end of meiosis I, the daughter cells are four; diploid four; haploid two; diploid two; haploid True or False? The cell below correctly portrays a cell with one pair of chromosomes after DNA replication has occurred. You decide to cross true-breeding wild type female flies with blue eyes to true- breeding male vestigial-winged flies. Assuming an autosomal inheritance pattern, with normal wings and blue eyes being dominant, what do you expect your F1 phenotypic ratio to look like? A) 50% of F1 will have blue eyes and normal wings and 50% will have blue eyes and vestigial wings B) 75% of F1 will have blue eyes and normal wings and 25% will have blue eyes and vestigial wings C) 100% of F1 will have blue eyes and normal wings D) 100% of the F1 females will have blue eyes and normal wings, 50% of F1 males will have blue eyes and normal wings, and 50% of the F1 males will have blue eyes and vestigial wings

Solution

2) meosis - 1 is a reductional division and meosis - 2 is similar to mitosis. So at the end of meosis - 1 the no of daughters cell produced are 2 and they are haploid (n) in nature.

The ans is two and haploid..

1) the chromosomal no gets when entered the s-phase are diploid(2n) and the no is 23. At the end of the S-phase the chromosomal no become 46..

3) the @ns is TRUE.. yes it is the copy of the same chromosome after replication..!!
