A Ferris wheel is 20 meters in diameter and boarded is the six o\'clock position from a platform that is 3 meters above the ground. The wheel completes one full revolution every 8 minutes. At the initial time t = 0 you are in the twelve o\'clock position. Find a formula, using the size function, for your height above ground after t minutes on the ferris wheel.

Midline of sinusoidal function = 13 mt

Amplitude = 10 mt

Period = 2pi/8 of wheel

Now sinusoidal function : y = 13 +10sin(2pi*t/8 +k)

at t= 0 y = 23 ; So, 23 = 13 + 10sink

sink = 1 ; k = pi/2

So, y = f(t) = 13 + 10 sin(pi*t/4 +pi/2)
