A customer calls you and says that he installed a wireless PCIe NIC card on his computer and now he is receiving error messages from Windows Vista about the device. You investigate and discover that when he installed the wireless card, he didn’t read the directions and first used the installation disc that came with the card before physically installing the card. D. There is no direct upgrade path for any version of Windows XP to any version of Windows 7. The most common upgrade path is to back up your data from the Window XP machine, do a clean install of Windows 7, then restore your data to the Windows 7 machine. The most common upgrade paths to Windows 7 are from their equivalent versions in Windows Vista; however, this is very expensive because you need licenses for both Vista and 7.
