King Midas is counting his money. He sets p pennies in his first pile, then places triple that number of pennies in the second pile. He continues this pattern of tripling the number of pennies in the current pile to determine the number of pennies in the next pile. Complete the table below and answer the question below the table.

The number of pennies are tripling in every next pile.

It starts with p in the first file. Therefore in second pile,number of pennies are 3p.In third,number of pennies are 3*3p=32p.

Therefore the relationship between number of pennies and number of pile is

(3)n-1p

where n is the pile number

So for 6th pile it is 36-1p= 35p

Hence the correct option is E
