Solution
This type of trust is usually established for the purposes of family group benefits. The trust here can make as many distributions as it requires to its beneficiaries. And the undistributed amount shall be taxed in the hands of the trust. But if distributions are made outside the groups they might be taxed at the maximum marginal rate. Assuming all these people as members of family group, distributions of 25000$ is made . Other expenses shall also be deducted except future restoration cost of an old sailing boat. Therefore, income of trust shall be: 45000-25000-2000-1500-1234= 15266. Therefore, on first 6000 there\'s no tax on rest the tax works out to be : 9266*15% = $1390.
