Solution

taking moment about point A

Rb*6 - 8*1.5 - 13*4.5 =0

Rb = 11.75 kN

by equating vertical force equilibrium,

Ra = 21 - 11.75 = 9.25 kN

Taking moment at C from left side,

clockwise positive

M = 9.25 * 3 - 8 * 1.5 = 15.75 kNm(clockwise)

shear force at support = reaction at that support

shear at A =9.25 kN

shear at B = 11.75 kN
