3 Find the currents in the figure below if R10 and AV10 volt

3. Find the currents in the figure below if R-1.0 and AV-10 volts. 2.4 : 9.0

Solution

R and 9 ohms are in parallel

1/R1 =1/9 + 1/1

R1=0.9 ohms

0.9 and 2.4 ohms are in series

R2=0.9+2.4 =3.3 ohms

3.3 and R=1 ohms are in parallel

1/R3 = 1/1+1/3.3

R3=0.76744 ohms

R,R and R3 are in series ,so equivalent resistance is

Req=1+1+0.76744 =2.76744 ohms

So Total Current flowing in the circuit is

I=V/Req=10/2.76744

I=3.6 A

SO current through each resistor is

I1=I=3.6 A

By Current divider rule

I2=I1*(R2/R+R2)=3.6*(3.3/3.3+1)

I2=2.77 A

So

I3=I1-I2 =3.6-2.77 =0.83 A

I4=I3*(9/9+1) =0.83*0.9 =0.747 A

I5=0.83-0.747 =0.083 A

 3. Find the currents in the figure below if R-1.0 and AV-10 volts. 2.4 : 9.0 SolutionR and 9 ohms are in parallel 1/R1 =1/9 + 1/1 R1=0.9 ohms 0.9 and 2.4 ohms
