The photograph on the left is skin cells under high magnification on an analog light microscope. The digital image on the right is a skin cell taken by exposure and measurement of controlled electron radiation using an electron microscope. Go find information about both types of microscopy on the Web, then briefly (in a single paragraph) compare the advantages and disadvantages of each type of imagery for studying skin cells and their organelle structures. Please reference the two images provided below in your answer.

Solution

Under an analog light microscope we will be able to skin cells; in real time as by using in vivo staining techniques we can view the different processes of the cell like division and uptake of dye; live. Further light microscopes are also cheaper than electron microscopes but they offere lower resolution and magnification as compared to the electron microscopes. However for a more detailed view of the inside of skin cells along with its organelles one needs to use electron microscopes; that have higher resolution at larger magnifications required to view the inside of the cells; as they are not dependent upon visual light. However the sample used is dead and its prepration requires highly skilled people and the cost of the equipment is very high.
