Im having trouble figuring out where to start this question

Im having trouble figuring out where to start this question and do not know where to go with it. Please help. An explanation would be appreciated so I know how everything was reached. Thank you.

The 10 cm galvanized-steel pipe is 1000 m long and discharges water into the atmosphere. The pipeline has an open globe valve and four threaded elbows; h1 = 3 m and h2 = 15 m. What is the discharge, and what is the pressure at A, the mid-point of the line?

Solution

Logically there should not be any discharge as the level of water is below point A\'s level. So unless forced by any external agency there should not be any flow through the pipe.

Hence discharge = 0

And pressure at A is atmospheric pressure i.e. 1.013 bar
