Find an equation of the line that satisfies the given conditions.

Through (4, 8);  parallel to the line passing through

(5, 6) and (1, 2)

Solution

This Line will have slope= (6-2)/(5-1)= 4/4 =1 {Because it was parallel to the line passing (5,6) and (1,2)}

So, equation of line is

y - 8 = 1(x-4)

y=x-4+8 =x+4

Or, x-y+4=0
