What are a the energy of a photon corresponding to wavelengt

What are (a) the energy of a photon corresponding to wavelength 5.0 nm (in keV), (b) the kinetic energy of an electron with de Broglie wavelength 5.0 nm (in eV), (c) the energy of a photon corresponding to wavelength 5.0 fm (in GeV), and (d) the kinetic energy of an electron with de Broglie wavelength 5.0 fm (in GeV)?

Solution

a) Energy of Photon with wavelength 5nm will be

E = hc/wavelength = 1240/5 =.25 Kev

b) P = h/ wavelenght,

KE = P2/2m = 9.7E-21 J = .06eV

Now we can say E is inversely proportional to wavelength

c) Energy would be same as wavelenght is made 6 units down and energy is made 6 units upto GeV

E = .25GeV

d) Same for this KE= 0.06 GeV

What are (a) the energy of a photon corresponding to wavelength 5.0 nm (in keV), (b) the kinetic energy of an electron with de Broglie wavelength 5.0 nm (in eV)
