Inductors in series Two inductors L1 1 30 H and L2 2 16 H

Inductors in series. Two inductors L_1 = 1. 30 H and L_2 - 2. 16 H are connected in series and are separated by a large distance so that the magnetic field of one cannot affect the other, (a) Calculate the equivalent inductance.

Solution

For inductors in series there inductance add up

Fo L eqv= L1+L2= 1.30+2.16 H = 3.46 H

b) for N inductance in series

Leqv = N*L= 36*3.08 = 110.88 H
