Suppose that f is a function whose domain is the interval 5
Suppose that f is a function whose domain is the interval [-5, 5] and that f(x) = x/x + 6 for every x in the interval [0, 5]. Suppose f is an even function. Evaluate f(-3). Enter the exact answer in fraction form if necessary.
Solution
f(x) = x / (x+6)
we have to evaluate f(-3)
so we will plug -3 inplace of x in teh function f(x)
f(-3) = -3 / ( -3+6) = -3 / 3 = -1
therefore, f(-3) = -1
