possible rational roots are +- 1,2,4
x = -1 is real zero
to get other zeros divide x^3 + x^2 - 4x - 4 by (x+1) = x^2 - 4
x^2 - 4 = 0
x = + 2 , -2
therefore, 4 zeros of p(x) are
