Use the distributive property to multiply x 3 x 1 3x 8Sol

Use the distributive property to multiply:

(x + 3) (x - 1) (3x - 8)

Solution

(x + 3) (x - 1) (3x - 8)

Using distributive property :

(x + 3) (x - 1) = x*x -1*x +3*x -3*1

= x^2 +2x -3

(x + 3) (x - 1) (3x - 8) = (x^2 +2x -3)(3x - 8)

= 3x*x^2 -8*x^2 +2x*3x -2x*8 -3*3x -3*-8

= 3x^3 -8x^2 + 6x^2 - 16x - 9x +24

=3x^3 -2x^2 -25x +24

Use the distributive property to multiply: (x + 3) (x - 1) (3x - 8)Solution(x + 3) (x - 1) (3x - 8) Using distributive property : (x + 3) (x - 1) = x*x -1*x +3*
