Radial offset (r) = 0.1 m and 0.75 m

Point load (P) = 50 kN

Surface deflection = P(1 - µ2 )/( E r)

At radial offset (r ) = 0.1 m

Surface deflection = 50*103 * (1 – (0.45)2 )/( *135 * 0.1 * 103 )

                                 = 0.94 mm   Answer

At radial offset ( r) = 0.75 m

Surface deflection = 50 *103 * (1 – (0.45)2)/( * 135 * 0.75 *103 )

                                  = 0.125 mm   Answer
