On a torso model, use a piece of tape to label and show the following: A transverse plane that separates the thoracic and abdominopelvic cavities. a midsaggital plane that seperates the right and left kidneys a frontal plane that seperates the gluteal from the inguinal areas a parasaggital plane that seperates the right kidney from the right ureter an oblique plane that seperates the left kidney from the bladder Identify the directional Term: Anterior Distal Inferior Lateral Medial Posterior Proximal Superior

Solution

a. A tranverse plane is perpendicular to longtiudnal axis of bdy and this will deivide the body to superior or interior sections like here point 7 to 8 and point 3-4 can be taken as transverse. Thoracic is upper part of body which includes the chest or underarm area and abdominalpelvic is belly area and genital area together which is on transverse plane.

b. A midsaggital plane means dividing the body into equal halves as is shown by the vertical longitudnal line numbered 1 which is dividing the abdominalpelvic into 4 quardants and the lower quardants are divided into equal left and right halves of genital region.

c. A frontal plane means tthat it divides the body vertically into anterior and posterior. Here in the figure the gluteal is the posterior to the pelvic region and Inguinal is anterior sex organ regions.

d. A parasaggital divides one side of the body like right kidney and right uterus.

e.Oblique plane can never be parallel to any of the planes.

On a torso model, use a piece of tape to label and show the following: A transverse plane that separates the thoracic and abdominopelvic cavities. a midsaggita
