Assume that 2 cards are drawn from a standard 52-card deck. Find the following probabilities. a) Assume the cards are drawn without replacement. Find the probability of drawing a club and a heart. b) Assume the cards are drawn with replacement. Find the probability of drawing a club and a heart.

Solution

a) p ( a club and a heart )

out of 52 cards there are 13 club cards and 13 heart card. The experiment is doing without replacement method, hence drawing heart card is depends on a drawing a club card.

probability of drawing a club card is 13 /52 and probability of drawing heart card is 13/51

p ( a club and a heart card ) = 13/52 * 13/51 = 0.0637

b) Now the experiment is doing with replacement method

probability of drawing a club card is 13 /52 and probability of drawing heart card is 13/52

p ( a club and a heart card ) = 13/52 * 13/52 = 0.5

Assume that 2 cards are drawn from a standard 52-card deck. Find the following probabilities. a) Assume the cards are drawn without replacement. Find the proba
