Using the Maclaurin series for sinx find the terms needed in

Using the Maclaurin series for sin(x), find the terms needed in the partial sum to approximate sin(1) to 12 decimal places (i.e., absolute error<0.5*10^(-12)).
Please show work. THANKS!

Solution

I get 7 because the 7th term is 1/13!= 1.605* 10^(-10), and the 8th is 1/15! which is 7.647 *10^(-13). So by the alternating series estimation theorem, we can stop at 7.
