Mgnetic confinement fusion is the one of the method for nuclear fusion reactor. It generates the fusion power using the magnetic fields  to confine the hot fusion fuel in the form of a plasma. It is the most reliable method than the inertial confinement fusion.

Mgnetic confinement fusion is used to create the conditions to produce fusion energy by using the electrical conductivity of the plasma to contain it with magnetic fields. The basic concept is to balance between magnetic pressure and plasma pressure, or in terms of individual particles spiraling along magnetic field lines. The pressure is order of the 1bar which is having the confinement time upto few seconds. These have the advantage of being more or less steady state, as opposed to the inherently pulsed operation of inertial confinement. It can be explained using the simplest magnetic configuration called as solenoid.
