Pasteurization is the use of heat to sterilize food products.

   Pasteurization is a method of sterilization for food products mainly liquid products such as milk and juices. The major and commonly used method is HTST method (High Temperature Short Time). In this pasteurization method the food product will be treated at 72 degree celcius for 15 seconds. Most of the pathogenic microorganisms will be killed by this heat process and the product become sterilized.
