What is the amplitude of the given function?

\"What

\"\" B. \"\"
\"\" C. \"\"
\"\" D. \"\"

Solution

The amplitude of a function i.e. sin or cosine function in normal is given

y = a*sin(x) or a*cos(x)

then the amplitude of the function will be |a|, since -1 <= sinx,cosx <=1

Hence for the function

f(theta) = -1/2 * sin(theta)

amplitude = |-1/2| = 1/2 = 0.5

hence option A is correct since amplitude is always a positive quantity

What is the amplitude of the given function? What is the amplitude of the given function? A. B. C. D. SolutionThe amplitude of a function i.e. sin or cosine fun
