1) As Total of sum of squares is 100 and

Total sum of squares = Sum of squares of Groups + Sum of squares of error(X)

100 = 80 + X

X =20

2)     Mean Squares = sum squares/ df

40 = 80 / dfg

dfg = 80/40 =2

dfg is degree of freedom of Groups

3)      Total df = dfg + dfe

14 = 2 + dfe

dfe = 12

4) Mean Squares of error = Sum squares of error/ dfe

= 20/ 12                                (from part 1 and 3 solutions)

=1.67

5) F = Mean squares of groups / Mean squares of error

= 40 /1.67

= 24
