if contamination is present this will affect the value of t
if contamination is present , this will affect the value of the thermal resistance, why?
Has the thermal resistance an influence on the heat transfer in a heat exchanger ? How can you promote the heat transfer in an exchanger?
Solution
If contamination is present that will increase the thermal resistance because that contamination particles also offer resistance so resistance value increases
Since thermal resistance is inversely proportional to heat transfer that means it will decrease the heat transfer which is undesirable
We can promote heat transfer with the use of baffles and also by increasing the number of passes of heat transferring fluid inside heat exchange
