A Ttype thermocouple is used to measure a temperature of 200

A T-type thermocouple is used to measure a temperature of 200°C. It is read out with a device that reads in degrees C with instrument errors of +/- 0.5°C and resolution of 0.1°C. What will be the uncertainty in the measured temperature?

Solution

>> As, error is +-5% to measure a temperature of 200°C

so, Uncertainty will be 5 % of 200

=> Uncertainty will be 0.05*200 = 10 °C

So, reading will lie between 190°C to 210°C. .....ANSWER.....
