Solve the system by substitution x 6y 12 3x 2y 24 x 6 y

Solve the system by substitution x + 6y = 12 3x + 2y = -24 x = 6; y = 1 x = -1; y = 2 x = -6; y = -2 Find of the above Solve the Experimental Equation S^2x + 7 = 5^5x + 7 x = -4/3 x = 5/3 x = 3/2 None solve the logarithmic equation log 3 + log(x + 5) = log 12 x = -1 x = 1 x = 0 x = 3 None

Solution

x+6y=12

x=12-6y

3x+2y=-24

Substituting the value of x from first equation we get

3(12-6y) + 2y=-24

36-18y+2y=-24

-16y=-60

therefore y= 60/16=15/4

and x= 12-6(15/4)=-42/4=-21/2

 Solve the system by substitution x + 6y = 12 3x + 2y = -24 x = 6; y = 1 x = -1; y = 2 x = -6; y = -2 Find of the above Solve the Experimental Equation S^2x + 7
