First of all an attacker monitors the traffic in the system and checking if he/she can inject his/her malicious data inside it to corrupt the system . If this could not satisfy his/her needs , then there are alot of techniques to penetrate it. Footprinting is also one of the initial steps to penetrate inside the system. Attacker scans the data and try to find security bug in it, if found , try to exploit it with many ways.
