Determine the total cost for each of the following . Direct Materials b. Diret Labor S 38.150 Manufacturing d. Prime Cost e. Conversion Cost f. Total Product Cost

Solution

Answer to part 2 (last part)

Based on your answer in part a,

Direct materials= plastic tubing = $4150

Direct labour = wages paid to assembly worker + wages paid to painters = $30300+7850= $38150

Prime cost = Direct material + Direct Labour = $4150 + 38150 = $42300

Conversion costs = Direct labour + Manufacturing overhead = Direct labour+ Factory rent + screws +utilities for factory+ Assembly supervisior salary +sandpaper+ paint + factory insurance + depreciation on outting machines

Conversion costs = $38150+3180+510+865+3500+170+265+1010+2090=49740

Total Product cost = Direct material + Direct labour + Manufacturing overhead = $53890
