I used 10kHz clock signal as input of 74LS00.

<circuit I used...>

I checked the result by oscilloscope and square wave was appear on the screen.

There, I got 1us of falling and rising time. After that, I changed 10kHz to 1kHz and then I got 50us of falling and rising time.

Is there any relations between input frequency and rising&falling time of square wave?

If so, I\'d like to get an equation about it.

plz help me...

Solution

Propagation delay is affected by frequency and this is due to skin effect actually affecting the resistnace and inductance of the interconnects.
