There are a variety of behaviour traits required for quitting to smoke which largely include positive intent . The other change patterns in behaviour are as follows:
Distracting the mind : To behave differently at the time of a routine smoke. To avoid smoking at a particular time , which might be a regular time for smoking, people can play with their mind in a strong attempt to think otherwise.
- Better research: the more someone would learn and research about the addiction and its effects and ways to go out of it, the easier it would b to cope up with it.
- Self realisation: it is important that one must realise and be aware about the situations and the stimulations that urge for cigarettes, so that such situations can be tried to be avoided.
- Find a motivation: It is important that a person should have some people or places that would motivate them more than any other situation, and that would keep them going.
- Peer support- It is Important that in such cases there should be good peer support, people who would neither smoke in front of you, nor encourage you to do so, thus creating a change in a regular behaviour pattern.
