One of famous command to edit a file in UNIX is vim. When you open a file with vim you can just browse file but not edit it at first. What should you do in order to enter edit mode?

Solution

If we want to a edit a file using VIM . We have to use a command \"sudo\" for example u ve to type SUDO VI/filename.

If we r using non Ubuntu version of Unix than use command \"SU\"
