Solution

Solution:

1.After the invention of gunpowder and was believed to be invented by some Chinese scientist around 850 A.D. Initially gunpowder was used to start fires for various purposes. From China then it passed to Europe and Islamic world and played an important role in many warfares. The invention of gunpowder cannons totally revolutionized the way that human beings wage war. Human beings started using the gunpowder as a propellent to increase the force and accuracy with which projectile missile were thrown onto the enemy places. After that the invention of handgun filled with gunpowder gave birth to the modern soldiers who had cannon like weapons, but in a very small portable size. Talking about modern warfare, gunpowder prepared with a different chemical composition is still used as propellent called smokeless powder. This smoke powder is used in modern bullets to help people to defend themselves and attack others.

2. Smart bomb or smart missile is a point blank, precision guided weapon. They have very specific characterstics and works to damage everything in a short distance. These bombs glides to the target, when fired, and works under the force of gravity only. They wroks under guidance commands and comes in small, medium, and large sizes. The impact of damage differs according to the size of the smart bomb.

Cruise missiles are a new generation of smart bombs whcih works under the guidance of Global Positioning Sattelite system rather than force of gravity. This GPS helps in providing the exact location with the help of lattitude and longitude of any spot. They consist of a small computer chip that directly communicates with GPS and contains the targets position.

Smart bombs are limited to the information provided to them, whether it be working under the force of gravity or communicatiing with the GPS. If the guidance provided about the target is not correct, it just go and hit the wrong thing. Example is the Serbia campaign, where an American B-2 bomber flying over the Belgrade fired three GPS-guided bombs to hit the building 35,000 feet below. The target there was a military supply office, but due to wrong coordinates supplied it hit the Chinese Embassy. Due to that, three people were killed and also it had put an adverse effect on the American-Sino relations.
