What would you expect to happen when you increase the sample
What would you expect to happen when you increase the sample size when creating a sampling distribution for a proportion?
-The mean would:
-The standard deviation of the proportions would:
-The normal model would:
(Please explain...)
Solution
The sample mean would: getting closer to the population mean.
The standard deviation of the proportions would:close to zero
The normal model would:holds very good
suppose you are incresing the population size then you are tending to reach the whole population so the mean of the sample very close to the population mean
for the population proportion the sample variance should be a function of sample \'n\' so if n is large then variance is small moreover it is close to zero
the normality always holds good if sample size increses by central limit theorem
