I need help with all of #2A and 2B please.

Use the given graphs of f and g to evaluate the expressions. (g f) (g g) (-2)

Solution

g o f (4) = g[f(4)]

f(4) is the value of the function f at x = 4

from the graph, f(4) = 2

so g o f (4) = g[f(4)] = g(2)

where g(2) is the value of the function g at x = 2

from the graph, g(2) = 5

therefore g o f (4) = 5

b) g o g (-2) is equivalent to g[ g( - 2) ]

from the graph, g(- 2 ) = 1

so g[ g( - 2) ] = g[ 1 ]

this is equal to the value of the function g at x = 1

thus, g [ 1 ] = 4

thus g o g (- 2) = 4.
