Both TCP and UDP are used for sending bits of data called packets.

One of the reasons TCP is more secure than UDP is the difficulty in spoofing TCP communications. TCP is connection oriented – once a connection is established, data can be sent bidirectional. It is more reliable because it ensures that all segments are received in order and any lost segments are retransmitted.

UDP spoofing is trivial since there is no notion of connection.UDP is a simpler, connectionless Internet protocol.Multiple messages are sent as packets in chunks using UDP. UDP does not guarantee if all segments are received or not. When the connection is bad, UDP segments can get lost without a trace or arrive in the wrong order.
