How would you explain the wave-particle dualism? Provide your explanation by referring to the Young’s experiment (two-slits experiment) and the De Broglie equation.

De-Broglie suggested that particle have wave nature. This is experimentally verified by the Germer-Davission experiment. De Brolie theory states that a moving a particle associated with a wave. The wavelength of associated with a particle or de-Broglie wavelength is given by,

            l=h/p

Here h is the Planck’s constant, lis called de-Broglie wavelength, and p is the momentum of the particle.

The above expression gives the moving a particle associated with a wave. This is called the wave theory of matter.

Young\'s performed the experiment, when a beam of particle passing through the double slit experiment. He observed on the screen, at some positions probabability density of particle is maximum and at some positions probability density is minimum. So we conclude that, it shows particle and wave nature.
