Storing the data on cloud saves a great deal of investment, especially when there are spikes of unpredictability in requirement of resource, for your business.

But leaving the information/platform/software to other hands is more a security concern. But a few steps could mitigate these concerns to a considerable level. A few of them include, ensure the reliability of the service provider, and make sure everything is specified in the Service Level Agreement(SLA). Another security measure is making sure that the physical location is secure and safe from burglars hands, like the servers are secured in grills, and no peripheral devices are connected and connectable to the servers, and ensuring data is completely and securely erased once the service is terminated etc. The other one is how the service provider ensures/addresses privacy concerns when dealing with sharing of resources among multiple clients.
