structure represents the relatioship between different departments in an organization. departements means, work allocation, work distribution, work sharing, coordination, control and supervision among the departments.
there are different types of organisational structures. an organisation may have centralized structure, decentralized structure, matrix structure etc. based on the nature of business they may choose one structure or design. decentralization is good to the firms which are operating in more than one area and the nature of work is normal and regular. centralization is better to the firms where the work is more sensitive and the nature of risk is higher. and matrix structure is better to those which are doing business in multi levels.
organization culture is the combination of values, ethics, pricniples, rules, regulations and norms which the management and employess follows in the work process. culture mainly depends on the place of the organization where it estabileshed and the people who establishes it. usually there is no single culture follows by firms, they are following various cultures based on their priorities and obligations.
in this globalization era, every firm is implementing and following more than one culture and more than one tradition. the reason is diversification of work and they are established in more than one nation.
as of me, i will prefer to work in a decentralilzed firm and i can adjust to work for any type of culture.
