Ans. Buffer is a solution that resists change in pH.

For example, a buffer with pH 7.0 does not show change in pH even when small amount of acid or base is added to it. A buffer often contains a weak acid and its conjugate base. When a small amount of acid (say, H+ in from of HCL)
