Write an equation in slopeintercept form of the line satisfy

Write an equation in slope-intercept form of the line satisfying the following conditions. through (69); perpendicular to x = 7 The equation of the line is Type an equation. Type your answer in slope-intercept form. Use integers or fractions for any numbers in the equation. Simplify your answer.)

Solution

1) perpendicular to x= 7

Slope of other line m =0

Line passes through (6,9)

So, equation of line y =9

2) Point slope form : y -y1 = m(x-x1)

m = -4 ; point (x1, y1) ---( 4, 1)

y - 1= -4(x -4)

3) Parallel to the line : x+4y = 3

slope intercept form of this line: y = -x/4 +3

m = -1/4

So, slope of other line would be m = -1/4

y = -x/4 +c .Find c using point ( 5,8)

8 = - 5/4 +c

c = 8+5/4 = 37/4

y = -x/4 +37/4

 Write an equation in slope-intercept form of the line satisfying the following conditions. through (69); perpendicular to x = 7 The equation of the line is Typ
