Using equation of motion

S = ut + 1/2 at2......................(A)

Where, S = displacement

u = initial velocity

t = time

a = acceleartion

In this case

u = 3 ft/s

t = 3 s

a = -2 ft/s2 ( As direction of accerleration is opposite to direction of motion)

Using the values in the equation (A)

S = 0

So the particle will come to initial position

Ans (A) 0.0 ft
