Solution

equating energy
at point of projection E=1/2mv2 + mgh

at point of impact E = 1/2 mV2

equating both

1/2mv2 + mgh =  1/2 mV2

1/2v2 + gh = 1/2 V2

orV2 = v2 + 2gh = 3402 + 2x9.8x2

or Velocity of impact = 340.0576 m/s
