equating energy
at point of projection E=1/2mv² + mgh

at point of impact E = 1/2 mV²

equating both

1/2mv² + mgh =  1/2 mV²

1/2v² + gh = 1/2 V²

orV² = v² + 2gh = 340² + 2x9.8x2

or Velocity of impact = 340.0576 m/s
