Consider the circuitof Figure 10.14(a). Assume that the breakdown characteristic is vertical as shown in Figure 10.14(b). Find the output voltage vo for parts a-c. Show your work.

Solution

a) Vo = 10.0 V as IL=0 means no load on load side.

b) iD= 0.23 A, on using formula we get Vo = 10.0V

c) iD = 0.1A, Vo = 5 V
