Ann has five USB flash drives in a desk drawer. Three of them are 4GB drives and two are 8GB drives. If Ann randomly selects two USB flash drives from her five drives to take to work, what is the probability that she will take exactly one 4GB drive to work? You must use a sample space of combinations, but do not write out the different outcomes.Solution
Total number of combination to selecte two USB drives = 5C2 = 10
Number of combination for selecting 1 4GB and 1 8GB drive = 3C1 * 2C1 = 6
Probability of selecting 1 4GB and 1 8GB drive = 6/10 = 0.6
