Speciation

Humans are categorized as Homo sapiens. Despite the fact we are all the same species, race structure is evident around the world. Suppose we looked into the distant future and saw that speciation had occurred in humans along racial lines (Asian, Hispanic, Caucasian, etc.) Provide a scenario using reproductive barriers that could have led to this situation. Also, can you think of a reason why this is NOT very likely to occur?

Solution

If people from one part of world say from one country of world are not allowed to enter in other country for next 1000 years human races might evolve into different sub species, but this is very unlikely to happen due to interdependance in trade and commerce between different parts of world, migrations are part of history, history has witnessed cultural blending and mixing always occuring. The world has turned into a global village and travel has become much easy so races always mix up leading to scenario of possibility of one unique race in future rather than formation of sub species.

Hope it answers your question , feel free to discuss .... Regards
