If the voltage drop across the power supply is 100 Volts, and three identical resistors are connected in series, what is the voltage drop about a single resistor?

Solution

Ans) As three identical resistors are connected in series

using Voltage division or V=I*R(ohm\'s law)

Voltage across each Resistor is =100*R/(R+R+R)=100/3=33.33 V

Voltage across each Resistor is=33.33 V

where I=100/(R+R+R) and V=I*R you get above formula

If the voltage drop across the power supply is 100 Volts, and three identical resistors are connected in series, what is the voltage drop about a single resisto
